KCBW Day Five: 1st April. And now for something completely different.
This is an experimental blogging day to try and push your creativity in blogging to the same level that you perhaps push your creativity in the items you create.
There are no rules of a topic to blog about (though some suggestions are given below) but this post should look at a different way to present content on your blog. This can take one of many forms, but here a few suggestions:
Wordless, photographic post
Video blog post
Podcast
Cartoon/sketch of an idea
Write about a subject from a different perspective (for example, you could write about a day in the life of a knitted sock from the point of view of the sock).
Interpretive modern dance (why does someone always suggest this?
A poem or piece of rhyming verse
Stop motion animation
Hey guys! See the skein of yarn in the picture? Isn’t it pretty? Well, this little skein of yarn has a dream. It wants to travel the world and I need your help to make its dream come true. Would you like this 230 g of 100% chilean wool to make the trip to your place and find its forever home with you? Then like OR reblog this post (Following is not necessary, although if you like my blog it is highly appreciated). And if you don’t have a tumblr and still want to participate? Send me an ask message with your name!
This giveaway will run from April 7, 2011 to April 10, 2011 (because this yarn is impatient and so am I!) and the winner will be announced on April 11, 2010. And as the girl from the Polana stand at the Expo Materia Prima who sold me this skein said: “Let’s hope this yarn travels far!”.

Aaah, look at this adorable pin! It’s from the Etsy Shop Paper Demon Jewelry, whose shop is loaded with adorable woodland critters and beautiful things made from origami paper. Like these earrings:
or this ring:

The shop (whose owner used to live in Japan) is donating 25% of all profits to Japan Relief… sounds like a good justification to buy something pretty for myself!

A house is no home unless it contain food and fire for the mind as well as for the body.

-Margaret Fuller (1845)

A home is more than a place of shelter.  It is a place of comfort, a place of peace.  This is where we can take refuge from the world, where we can relax, and where we can grow.  A home can be a “safe environment” where we can learn without fear of criticism, and where we can explore and express our feelings.  The person, or people, inside that space is what makes a house a home. ~ via Lissa Coffey
